Powers & Abilities Beast pirates swordsmenship? And how it effects the verse

#1
What weve seen from the beast pirates

*you can technically even argue why franky doesn't fit in the swordsmen category

*we also know he's been using a sword at least as far back as when kaido saved him

So are they swordsmen? Does it matter? And what is the reason oda gave them swords if not?

Update:

New questions?
Why aren't they
  1. In verse reasoning aka why dont others and themselves dont view them as so?
  2. Out of verse reasoning aka why did oda decide to do it?
Who are other characters that fit in the use a sword but not a swordsman category?

We know King is not defined as one and Law is. So sometimes appearances can be misleading. Regardless, this doesn't change the fact when someone is labeled as swordsman the individual is most of the time referred to entirely and not just their style.

Kaido isn't a swordsman and he was being attacked by 5 people compared to King being attacked by 1.

King admitted he isn't a swordsman either, just wanted to clear the air from some guy saying King's "swordsmanship" was next level compared to Queen because King hasn't had his blade broken (yet).
And king got shot he got attacked not from up close but from range when he was worried about helping kaido and not if someone was gonna shoot his sword off.
King is the most competent of kaidos commanders still.

King failed at letting Momo be rescued, he failed to damage RS Sanji, failed at recapturing Momo, he failed to stop Zoro reaching the roof, he failed to put Marco down.
He has had small and big Ls loads of times in the raid, and last chapter he cut loads of beast pirates due to a hissy fit about his mask.

Queen would have just won his fight if not for Sanji's power up, (I'm sure King will get a similar moment next time we focus on Zoro/King but it hasn't happened yet).

He might be more serious and less of a "failure" than Queen in some aspects, but hyper competent he certainly isn't.

King had his failures but folding RS Sanji wasnt one of them he let him go because he didnt know judges suit was that strong or he didnt consider sanji a threat after how easily he whooped his ass.
King alone managed to protect wano from the BM pirates while queen lost in 2 hits to retarded hakiless big meme.

King failed to kill momo (winning the war) and kill sanji the only good thing he did was lend kaido his sword

Queen failed to kill sanji by attacking himself besides king didnt consider sanji a threat after how easily he beat him he had no idea daddys suit was so strong.
