I thought anime had more to offer thanks to those 2 series, boy was I wrong and were we fooled. After watching those 2 you might as well stop watching anime in general.

You can prolly throw in Monster and retire after watching those 3.



There are still some gems like HxH, Vinland, Berserk, etc. But none like the two above. Fast paced, entertaining, every episode is off the charts. GOATED.

Everyone in this top 4, is a 10/10 character honestly, all justified for the top spot.

Light is one of the most meticulous characters ever created. He explains all his moves in so much detail, it's hard not to be impressed.

Griffith is the only villain here that made me want to punch my screen. No other manga character can get such an emotional rise out of you the way Griffith does (ignoring Shou Tucker, that dude is just a loser so it doesn't count).

Askeladd is probably the best written character here, maybe not the best villain here but he's the total package as a character, super multifaceted and deeply layered.

Johan is the kind of villain who commands your full attention every time he’s on screen. Every subtle gesture, every word he speaks, carries more weight than anyone else on this list, it feels as if time slows down when that dude is on screen. For that he gets my vote.

On the real tho, we need to take a moment to appreciate how each member of the GOM is swagged out and has aura oozing off of them.

You'd be hard pressed to find another group of characters where everyone is maxed out in swag and aura.

GOM is a stacked roster, not a single miss, not even close. Admirals are the only ones who can compete with the GOM as far as designs, swagger, and ability packages go, Akatsuki not far behind but they have Konan and Zetsu which keep them from perfection. Phantom Troupe have a couple of forgettable characters, so they can't keep up.

The 'problem' with most groups of characters in anime/manga is that there are more than necessary, unlike GoM.

Like yeah, Hisoka, Chrollo, Illumi, all GOATED. But who gives a fook about Kortopi or whatever her name was lmao.

Same with the Warlords, you got Mihawk, Sir Crocodile, Doffy, but then who gives a fook about idk Jimbei, Hancock, Moriah, etc.


Same with Akatsuki. Pain, Itachi, Sasori, Hidan, all dope, but fook Zetsu and Konan lmao.


The Phantom Troupe, the Akatsuki, The Noah Clan, The Espada, the Aogiri tree, The Port Mafia, etc all have some GOATED characters in them but most others are shite lmao or completely forgettable.

GoM as you said doesn't miss. Anyone outta Aomine, Akashi, Kise, Midorima or Murasakibara is GOATED in his own way and unforgettable.
