You can't tell me that this saga ends with the SHs going back to the Flower Capital and telling the people there "Hey guys, you haven't heard of it yet, but we just defeated Kaido and Orochi woop woop. You just have to believe us!"

This is really a good point and I complete agree with this, winning in Onigashima wouldn´t have the same impact as winning in dressrosa or other countries who get saved by the strawhats because of the terror of the villians. Beating Kaido without the same downfall of the people in wano who live in terror wouldn´t have the same impact as with Doffy downfall.

Im sure the alliance getting first the asswhopping in Onigashima and retract first to Wano where the war starts around the whole country.
But the though of that the retainer getting killed is really dark, but it would give a spice into the story after all. Wano war it said to beeing even better then MF so I would really see some twist around the war arc.

Overall great post, but here I disagree. To say it in the words of Saruman from Lotr (in a different version fit for the occasion):

"There is no dawn for the traitor!"

Too many things have happened, too many tragic deaths and events because of him/her. There will be no redemption.

I also place a bet on the Onigashima raid not being the final war of Wano. It just doesn't make much sense plot-wise. Oda always writes his big conclusions in a way, that literally EVERYONE can see the end of the main antagonist /think Arlong, Crocodile, Enel, Lucci, Doflamingo ...). That includes all the citizens, in this case Wano's citizens.

Kaido and Orochi will find their end at a place and time, where (nearly) all the citizens of Wano will be spectators of their downfall (Flower Capital, Mt. Fuji?).

Yes it would not be fitting if Orochi and Kaido are defeated without the people of Wano seeing them for who they truly are and on a recluse area of Wano. I also expect Big Mom and her crew's story to continue after Wano arc with her past with the giants and Streusen and Mother Carmel coming back to light and it seems really unlikely that the marines and WG will be really absent from the war at Wano. And Marco and the WBP can't come to Wano yet, if they come at all, with Weevil and Ms Bakkin still being able of threatening Sphinx Island.
