Why is Marco never granted this same argument?

Blackbeard has plot protection until Laugh tale, we all know it, but somehow Marco losing to a Top Tier with the 2 most powerful abilities makes him weaker than the one who legit lost to a low high tier.

Because BB was way above Luffy and had a fruit that effectively renders Marcos null. If anything it’s a good point for Marco still being considered to be able to stop him.

Also your argument makes no sense, Luffy vs Kat was about two people being in the same relative ballpark, whereas BB and Marco were not so I fail to understand how using Marco overwhelmingly losing to BB as something better than whatever Kat did.
