And then you remember that Kaido is also an oni, so King's statement is pretty much empty hype for the fight.

Also, the Spanish version speaks of "dragons" in plural, in case you guys want to discuss translations.
But the point of the statement is pretty clear though - he isn't referring to the Dragons in Punk Hazard or the Dinosaurs in Little Garden, the context of his words specifically refer to Kaido (The Dragon) and the Ancient Zoans (The Dinosaurs), basically the Beast Pirates crew. And even if there is a plural used for Dragons, it probably included Momonosuke, who uses the same devil fruit as Kaido.

Yeah, King's technique is an active ability and needs to be used while Kaido's scales are a passive ability.
yup
kaido's scales wont be harder in guard position
so if kaido attempted to block without armament
he would still be cut.

seems like if king can wrap himself in his wings
his durability can surpass that
so the right answer is yes and no, its situational . if he can react on time, his durability is up there.

only conclusion we can draw so far is his wings might be more durable than the scales

he's already bled against marco and zoro when he left himself unguarded .
its def not the wings
his lunarian abilities gives him a boost
or its both combined
