This guy was introduce as indestructible.. he has the power to turn himself into lava. This guy jumped into 10,000 feet on sky island to the blue sea.

similar to big mom! Bigmom can steal others soul and make it her own it can heal her as well as she got homies that can help her even if she is asleep.

what im trying to say here is that what if their role is not over yet? There would be a great change after their defeat! Remember kaido ask luffy what kind of world that he wants? And luffy told him a world where his friends can eat as much as they want? What if that reason is enough for kaido’s change of heart? Similar to big mom too her fall probably brought her to what she used to before when she was a kid? A kind hearted one who cares to everyone else that close to her?
What do you guys think? Did lava really killed them?

Unless they were thrown away in that volcanic eruption which we saw at the end, they are dead.
Because they are not some kind of beings which do not need to breathe (and they can't breath underwater, or magma in this case).

So most likely dead and their role is over.

The yonkos were handled terribly and oda gave the yonkos a middle finger by making buggy a yonko. 19 year old luffy has to win,beating veterans who have years of experience and were known as indestructible.

No doubt luffy will surpass the yonkos even as a kid he was strong( not as strong as big mom or kaido as a kid) but thats the beauty of luffy. His greatest strength is his complete trust of his own strength and the his crew. Luffy is more than just physically strength if king haki had level i would argue luffy has the strongest will in the series. White beard saw this in marineford,he was not the strongest in marine ford but his determination was abnormal.

And in my opinion that is one of the themes of one piece, strong will>>>>physical strength.

As mihawk noted his greatest strength is people are always ready to follow luffy,he can make anyone his ally. Cause he has complete trust in himself to succeed other characters can't help but trust him too. They see him as shining light and can't help but follow him.

Although the yonkos were victims of bad writing at the end luffy was always going to win. Kaido wanted to be defeated he never even took the fight seriously in my opinion. He wanted to see if he can doubt himself something he never was able to do because of his indestructibility. At the end as always with luffy vs stronger enemies like crocodile in alabaska his determination defeated them not his physical strength.

Remember this guys are powerful and preety much emperors are the closest characters to the onepiece. Specially kaido because his link to King. If crocodile appeared again, if buggy, mr 3 why not them? And remember kaido was different from them, both luffy and kaido was enjoying their fight
