The WBP got crushed by Marineford + Shichibukai, two major fucking forces, he did all his best, what more he can do ?

First I was torn apart between Sanji and Big Mom, but in the end it's undoubtedly Sanji.
- Sky Walk, which Sanji learned throughout the time- skip was portrayed as nothing special in the New World.
- Sanji as the only Strawhat, had to share his first fight in the New World with Jinbei
- In his next fight in Punk Hazard, Vergo cracked his leg and Sanji might have implied he would've lot
- Next arc Sanji was lol- diffed by Doflamingo
- in Whole Cake Island he lost to Judge
- He was pummeled his brothers
- Attacked his captain to the best of his ability, without any resistance whatsover
- At the Wedding he was send flying and held down by Daifuku
- In the Seducing Woods he saw Brook and Chopper being in trouble and yet was flying away
- He said he is going to knock out Big Mom, but ultimately failed

For all Big Mom downplayers, the real answer is Kaido
Here I will expain point per point comparison
1. "Big Mom got humilliated by Weakling Trio, Jinbe, King and Queen".
Still, with all these humilliations, she managed to survive and staying relevant.
Meanwhile Kaido will be humilliated, defeated once and he will dissapear from the story. No room for second arc for a crybaby like him.
2. "Big Mom got lol diffed by King, got captured by Queen"
That's 2 Losses. Yep, Jinbe and Straw Hats never defeated her. Straw Hats was the one escaping.
Kaido had suffered 7 losses. Got saved by hostage against Oden.
Comparing the after L condition, post WCI, post King, post Queen fights, Big Mom never shown in bandages.
Post Oden fight Kaido still covered in bandages even days later.
3. "Big Mom lost 2 commanders in WCI"
Kaido will lose all his Commanders, Flying Sixs, headliners, etc etc all in one arc.
4. Big Mom's flashback hyped her as Natural Born Destroyer. Said to be Admiral candidate. One shotted Elbaf's big name Giant and continued to wreck the village.
Kaido from Oden's flashback did the opposite, questioning his WSC status from his poor perfomance against Oden: got wounded by non all out Oden (contrary to popular belief that Oden had to use all his haki to inflict that wound) and saved by hostage trick.
5. Still in the past:
Kaido had to avoid all out war against Oden and samurais for 5 years long.
Meanwhile Big Mom got avoided by Roger himself during his time in WCI!!
