Character Discussion Bigmom is the definition of dissapointment

What do you expect from a sexist mangaka who doesn't know how to handle and write powerful female characters ?

Oda clearly didn't know what to do with Big Mom, and how to justify the Straw Hats and their allies being able of faring against or escaping her in any credible and well-written way. The result is a series of dumb and ridiculous plot devices and gags, never the same, always changing and incredibly inconsistent writing of her to justify her not outright massacring the Straw Hats and allies.

If this is the end of Kid and Big Mom doesn’t come back then what a waste of time that should honestly knock the entire series down a peg or two

Oh they will come back, but I cant imagine it being done in any satisfying or well-written way anymore, and One Piece has already being knocked of several pegs by the Yonko saga.

I have this strange and frightening intuition that O-Lin was a prologue to foreshadow the rest of Big Mom's story in One Piece.

Imagine being born with insane strength, suplexing giants as a little girl.
Imagine being born with monstrous durability and endurance.
Imagine being born with Conqueror's haki, a one in a million ability.
Imagine getting an extremely versatile DF ever since a young age.

Imagine wasting all of that. No human, in the series so far, had a better starting point than Meme. She could have surpassed even Roger if she actually worked.

Well, Big Mom is damn strong for sure. But they all have different stats. Big Mom might had 1 shotted someone if she used all her power for sure.

Yeah imagine all of this potential. And Oda did a great job wasting all of that.

It's clear that the man had just no idea on what to make of Big Mom, changing her characterization and using humor and plot points each more stupid and ridiculous than the other to make up for the fact that he simply didn't know any way on how to make the Straw Hats and their allies handle Big Mom in a credible or well-written way.

I've said it a thousand times. Big Mom is the female equivalent of Luffy. A bumbling fool, who constantly makes mishaps, which causes her to fail in situations that other characters would succeed.

And it makes sense she is written this way, because with her natural born strength, she'd be unstoppable if she was a high IQ character.
