The most paradoxical thing is that, The only thing that saves Big Mom is her performance against base Kaido.

If Big Mom was weak as she looks, Kaido would not had respected her/allied her.

You have to remember Kaido thinks of her as a sister even tho he won’t admit it. He never went all out against her, no one ever does.

Kaido not going all out is a fact he even told Luffy.

Katakuri has better haki usage in WCI than Big mom in the raid.
According these writing , child Elbaf Big mom look more superior to Wano Big mom.
That's how Oda writes what he feels like
