A while ago, Blackbeard tells Koby of his plans to make Hachinosu a World Government affiliated kingdom with Koby as his bargaining chip. However, after Koby's rescue he gains an arguably more valuable chip- Garp the Fist. But is the World Government willing to do dealings with a pirate who has even fucked them in the past with his warlord status? I don't think so, even with Garp's life on the table... but Teach seems to think that Koby's life is good enough. But with Devon now having the ability to impersonate Saturn, could he use her to decree the BBK official, or is it a convenient backup tool? To what end does he want the title of King... just to gain passage up the Redline? Maybe to cause chaos in Mariejois and attempt to box Imu for the throne? If his plan doesn't go through... what becomes of Garp? Executed like Roger in a show of pirate dominance?

I am curious to hear about how members here think his plan will unfold, or what they think Oda has in store for this plotline.

doubt but itd be cool if instead of offering to free garp in exchange for getting official kingdom status, the wg (ofc not the marines but the wg itself) wants garp dead and either executing him or just not releasing him (if something happens that they expect will make garp angry enough to focus on them rather than just attacking the bb pirates immediately upon release or just going back to the marines and not being a threat as had been the case before) is apart of the official deal between teach and the wg

then theres whatever devon and van auger did + devon copying saturns form to wear for herself (?)

Very true, not all of his schemes work out well for him in some aspects. However, even though there is loss in some plans (destroying mf, getting hancock fruit), they usually have some upsides that have favor to him (acquiring gura and leaving MF alive, kidnapping Koby). I don't think BBK is gonna work out the way Teach thinks it will, but the outcome probably won't be all bad for him.

I think soon the world will split into those supporting the AK's side from the Void Century War and those supporting IMU.
At some point, BB will produce his incontestable lineage proof that he alone is the rightful heir to the AK throne.
And he'll make IMU an offer to be himself (BB) the face of the WG, while IMU keeps his shadowy position.
It'd be a trap, both men will be aware of.
BB will want to get his hands on something from IMU's secret room, and IMU will try to brainwash BB into becoming his new Gorosei.
But for the time being, considering the entire world uprising and the Marine internal civil war, IMU will be obliged to accept the deal.
The Final WG War will find BB-Orochi and IMU-Kaido vs the Pirate-Revos Alliance, only this time things will play in reverse: with BB backstabbing IMU at a critical moment.
With BB having gotten all that he needs from Mariejois, thus being max power, the race for Laugh Tale will begin with Luffy, why Revos and the rest of the world will be busy stopping the Red Line from falling and dealing with all the countereffects of IMU's last floodmaking actions.
By the time the SHs make it back with the OP, the flood, earthquakes, and other natural catastrophes will have stopped, and the OP will be used to mend the planet into one, utopian land.

teach is the new rocks. the original rocks tried to enslave celestial dragons at god valley. so blackbeard will do this too, together with kid. just like how he applied for warlord, to enter impeldown, he is applying for kingship to enter maryjoa. probably at the time when luffy fights akainu, so no admiral will be able to get to saint charlos' rescue. i doubt he would try his luck with imu though.

Just look at all the treasures Blackbeard has:

  1. A member of the Three Eyes clan to read the ancient text.
  2. A bargaining chip with Monkey D Dragon and Monkey D Luffy
  3. 50+ years of world history available via Garp's mind and Pudding's fruit, including Rocks knowledge.
  4. The identity of the highest recognized power in the world.
  5. The whereabouts of two ancient weapons.
  6. Three of the four poleglyph texts.
Now tell me he can't make a play for "The World".
