99% he knew, likely this Yhwach guy could be Aizen's target, and they had Stargate as a backup plan

Yeah I think he did then. When I was aragog in the HP game my wincon was to keep Hagrid alive and the host told me who the Hagrid player was, Stargate most likely knew who the Yhwach player was.

I would strongly advise against eliminating Red Night, as the link feels more like town trying to solve then scum blending in (god knows I've come up with some insane links in past games) but I agree with the other reads.
