Character Discussion Bogard: filler character or marine legend

#1
With Garp finally getting a spotlight, this puts his right hand man, Bogard, is an interesting situation. Oda has two options:
  1. make him a filler background character
  2. make him a marine legend
I feel like it would make the most sense to go with the latter, as it would make scenes like this make sense:

Look how many cuts he made in a single motion. This isn't something fodder characters are capable of doing.
Bogard has to be an experienced marine, after all he is Garp's right hand man. He probably fought in God Valley and against the Roger pirates.

My personal headcanon is that much like Garp, he is stronger than his rank suggests. He could have been a vice admiral, but turned down the promotion to serve under his best friend, Garp. He is probably one of the strongest marines outside of the admirals, and might have even had a zodiac code name.

I feel like we might see some feats from him against Pizarro, who's DF is similar to Pica's. Like maybe he could split the skull in half like zoro did to pica's golem.

Overall, it would be an absolute shame if this character went to waste.

Would be cool if Oda made him a strong VA, he didnt need to be YC1 or anything like this, but at least stronger than the Tobi Ropo, would make sense as Garp right hand Man who os with him sincr Roger era couldnt be weak.

But most likely Oda forgot about him

Bogard is a rookie whom Xebec took as his cabin boy, and Xebec said to WB and Kaidou, "in the future, this Lil Bogard will surpass all of you monsters, and even me"

In God Valley Battle, Shanks was defeated by Bogard. Bogard respected Shanks quite a bit tho, thus he bestowed to the red-haired boy, Gryphon: the sword made not from any physical matter but purely from Bogard's haki, CoB (Color of Bestest)
