Sanji getting CoC at all, much less AdCoC, creates all kinds of issues with the concept of CoC being the highest form of willpower.
It would be fine if Oda had not decided to show Sanji faltering on multiple occasions.

Reasons why Sanji should logically disqualify to ever getting CoC:
- told Zoro to discard his own dream if it would otherwise cost him his life
- did not pursue his own dream until Luffy showed up to push him in the right direction
- left the crew because he doubted his own and their strength
- accepting to join the crew on Luffys terms instead of his own
- while being central to his character his dream is not related to willpower

It would take a lot more than an old axe dual wielding, giant shagging lecher with CoC to convince me that Oda is willing to piss on his own requirement of unwavering will for characters that get CoC.
Depending on how you view the character Katakuri was maybe already an outlier for CoC, which leaves room for interpretation in Sanjis case.

imo, it would certainly suck and devalue the ability massively if Sanji were to get CoC.
And it would suck even more if Oda then decided to add another hidden ability that is even more special just to compensate...

I mean, why would I? Rayleigh succeed on protecting the SHs from arguably the fastest character in the verse (by fighting). Gabum had to surrender to protect his own son from a pantless bozo.

Being unable to protect your own son has to be easily one of the worst failures a parent can have.

Yes but he also altered the way people saw Roger in comparison to Ray and Gaban as well
I think the problem is that fans always compared Luffy's opponents to the wings opponents and compared their strength at face value. But they never looked at how those fights went down. If you look at how Zoro and Sanji defeat their arc opponents, it becomes clear that the gap was never 4000 > 2200/2180. I've always said this. And after Wano I was never hesistant to say that Zoro and Sanji would destroy King and Queen, while Luffy vs Kaido would remain extreme diff.

I will acknowledge that this concept was something that the general audience didn't pick up on. Gaban did wonders for demonstrating the captain and wings gap.

Well the gap between current luffy and zoro/sanji is significant imo. Better feats , FS , G5 , G4 , sky split adv coc etc.

Giving Kaido a good fight >> Beating YC2s or YC1s though.
But if you refer to the post I made above, this is exactly what I'm talking about. The fans compare the opponents strength levels, and not how those opponents were defeated. Luffy needed all of his powerups in Wano to match Kaido. He needed gear 2 and 3 to match Lucci. Zoro and Sanji quickly surpassed their opponents with KoH and IJ. In EL it was wraps as soon as they pulled out asura and DJ.

Zoro with KoH 3 shot King. Sanji defeated Queen with a single combo. Luffy in gear 5 was even with Kaido up until the very end and even his final attack was a haki power struggle.

Zoro and Sanji are way stronger than King and Queen. Luffy is roughly on Kaido's level.
Zoro and Sanji were way stronger than Kaku and Jabra. Luffy was roughly on Lucci's level.

I mean we can equate it by the arsenal a character posses. As said earlier luffy also has G4 buff , FS , G5 buff which increases his power level.

That arsenal let him equal Kizaru who has much less in his bag (no CoC, didn't show awakening, maybe FS against snakeman?). I mean, Kaido doesn't have awakening and yet was matching G5. Shanks doesn't even have a DF. Checklist scaling is a bad way of scaling characters.

Yeah well yall ain’t ready for Sunbell!
Lodestar MVP.
:watchout:
A Fishman will be specifically needed to reach Raftel. That's why Roger and Rocks both had one.

When the crews finally meet, Shanks will only half jokingly asking Jinbe to join his crew.

In reality, Roo will be capable of performing the required tasks of Fishman through freakish physical attributes.

Luffy was not using adv coc when using snakeman and luffy's aim was to only stall Kizaru.

I mean both Kaido and shanks are top tiers and shanks most likely has much stronger haki + more adv levels of haki. His haki was even compared to joyboy.
