Controversial Can men and women be friends?

Personally I avoid such complications, there are a couple of acquiantences, both male and female, that I know since childhood and keep it that way most of the time. During adulthood especially if you're trying to build a stable life I don't think it's worth it for both sides, building a family should not be taken lightheartedly.
So to answer the question yes ofcourse they can be friends, but depending on where you're headed in your life you may or may not want find it to be worth the headache. Better stay formal unless you want to hook up, makes it easier for everyone.
Same can be said about any relationship really regardless of gender, but male-female are bound to be more sensitive.

girls dont play goft that often and even then, it's not really a big thing that alot of guys talk about amongst themselves

There's dudes who like go their local card game shop and make friends over playing yugioh
that's just not things girls do cause they dont have those interests which would make them bond over
not saying they have to like yugioh or something like that but it's literally anything, you need something in common and on average women have nothing in common with guys so it ends up that most friendgroups only have 1 sex
I always hung out with male groups in high school a because nothing to talk about with girls, their boring to me as there's no common interest and b there's just extra complications that dont exist with males like everyone presumes your dating if you have a female friend
I just sat at my yugioh table and played card games cause we all had a common interest which is why we hung out
