Luffy died. His heart stopped. He’s clinically dead. Kaido killed him.

Luffys fruit then brought him back to life. And who had the Will? IDK maybe the thousands of Wano people below sending their thoughts and prayers for freedom into the sky…

They do… Law literally says this in The flower capital when Sanji starts fighting page one… law says ancient zoans have regeneration

as in BASE FORM ancient zoans have a notable regeneration factor… This is not even taking into account Awakened Ancient zoans, which we never saw in wano

all Zoans have higher base stats.. all around… And so regeneration being a regular stat that every character has, Zoans have a higher form of regeneration than normal… then awakened Zoans like the impel down guards get an even higher regeneration

and then of course Luffy has the best Zoan in the verse so he gets the best regeneration in the verse

How can it be misinterpretation when this is all Oda has given us on the ideas of devil fruits awakenings and Nika…

The whole chapter 1043 indicated that’s what happened. The whole chapter was about how none of them could defeat Kaido and they needed a saviour

Even if it is fiction it has still to respond to logic to quite a big degree. WB was introduced as the absolute monster who was on par with Roger and to deliver thay he fought despite a hole in his chest from the very start, face blown off etc. etc. but when you make the freaking Pound survive a beheading or the boar reattached back in one piece lmao that is another story.
