I was just about to make a "why is usopp so shameless" thread.

Qt what point will oda explain usopp not giving a fuck? He completely failed in onigashima. Couldn't beat page one without help, couldn't protect tama without help, couldn't save kin and kiku without help, theres even the page where he cowers at gifter fodder and izou has to save him. Wtf.

I would hope that after wano he would think "what the hell have i been doing? I wasn't useful at all. My captain and best friend basically died during his fight and i couldn't do shit in my own fight"

It's the general issue that permeates most of post-TS where Oda just has so many characters and moving pieces happening at the same time that some SHs end up suffering a lack of screentime or purpose.
Usopp ended up suffering the worst of it in Onigashima but it has also happened with Robin in Dressrosa or Brook everywhere except Whole Cake lol

Please someone who doesn't believe Oda has any malice or hate towards Usopp explain to me how it's possible for Oda to be repeatedly outdone with his own character by people who have less time and experience with him

The biggest reason is the Movies are non Canon and are to be special, without caring about all the other plots and character development that the story has to.

I remember thinking "this is perfect, they are clearly above Nami and Usopp in power, so we probably gonna get a smart creative fight"

I couldnt find any other latest Usopp thread, so I am posting here. Oda took a dump on Usopp's character in the last two chapters. The strawhats have become a yonko crew and they are aiming for the Raftel. These mofos are already one of the major targets of the WG. Now Usopp is scared to know some info about void century? He is scared of Lucci and co. in this chapter? If Oda thinks this is funny, he is a complete retard, nobody is laughing. Oda needs to stop this atrocity. He is completely ruining Usopp's character.
