It should like Luffy's rubber getting hurt by haki punches.

BUT it's a different thing if Burgess clads himself with haki, then it will be who has the stronger haki.

Doffy kicking Luffy's G4 in the ribs and he was sursprised he was still rubber. G4 Luffy COA > Doffy COA, so Doffy's COA couldn't negate Luffy's rubber DF.

Yeah this makes sense.

The way I see this Haki vs DF debate: Haki can negate DF effects UNLESS the DF user has comparable or superior Haki level. By level I mean overall mastery and refinement of willpower. DF users are constantly imbuing Haki into their DF attacks.

Law’s Haki level >~ Vergo, so Law cuts him.

BB’s Haki level ~ Boa’s Haki level, so Boa still stones him.

However Kaido/BM’s Haki level >>>> Law’s Haki level, so Shambles doesn’t do anything to them.

This is only for debuff or side effects, NOT for damage in general. Damage is directly mitigated by CoA or CoC hardening. So a strength-related DF ability will still hurt them and they need to use CoA to block it. Same with Law’s Awakening, it is a damage-based attack, and KROOM is probably unique too in its properties such that Haki offers no protection.

It all depends on how strong your haki is. Aside from Oda doing whatever the hell he wants baded on the moment, there's a reason why the strongest DF users also have good haki.

Law couldn't teleport Kaido and BM cause their haki was too strong, but Gamma Knife, Injection Shot and Counter Shock still worked(an exampl3 of Oda do

Law's haki+DF cutting power

If your haki is strong enough, you can block logia attacks but if they also have good haki, their attacks will still do damage.

For Burgess, haki is only useful for reducing damage since his DF isn't intractable like Doc Q, Kinemon, BM, Van Auger etc..
