Luffy was so desperate to find a way to deal with the Gorosei that he ultimately decided to go with a technique that involved him getting attacked by his allies (the Mars situation). It really wouldn't make much sense for him to openly complain about how nothing works and end up relying on this kind of roundabout/unconventional strategy if he didn't at least try out one of his core techniques in CoC beforehand.

@Fujishiro Remember when ACoC was literally introduced as letting you hit your opponents without touching them, and then Oda had Luffy’s ACoC punches making direct contact with Kaido for the rest of the fight?
Acoc was not seem big deal in eggland arc. Future sight was overhyped in wci but it stop being big deal in wano arc.
Kizaru block acoc snakeman punch easily and one kick him out . Oda didn’t bother draw kizaru coA but he did to rob lucci , vice admirals and gorosei like Venus . Can kaido even block coc punches without his weapon but bare hands ? White star gun could not made kizaru blood face while kaido bleed to base luffy.
We know gorosei can regan . Queen comment Marco invincible because his Regan .
