Ashura Doji seems the most loyal scabbard to me.
Idk, there could be a way around it... He could have hated Oden since he beat him in Kuri.
He didnt join the war 10 years ago when others died at sea and how are there graves in Kuri if they died at sea...
He was about to kill the old lady and he lived just fine, not too bothered by Kaido/Orochi for 20 years while all retainers of Kozuki clan have been hunted... Something is fishy about him.

Agreed on basically everything except the last paragraph.

I'm pretty confident in saying Oda will make her the last SH.

We know since the very first chapter, that Luffy wants to recruit 10 cremates ("finding about 10 should do it") and it also mirrors Blackbeard and his 10 titan captains perfectly.

The only characters that qualify are Carrot, Momo and Kinemon, since any new character would really have spent way too less time with the SH's until EoS.

I guess that Momo and Kinemon won't leave the then just freed Wano (Momo finally fulfills the promise as Kozuki ruler).

That leaves us with Carrot.
Kin’emon’s a better candidate in every conceivable fashion. All it would take for him to join is him deciding he needs to sail with Luffy to repay him, and to find out what Oden discovered on his quest and how it relates to Wano’s past. Which wouldn’t exactly take long to set-up, Carrot’s apparent chances are dependant on a four page conversation with Pedro where he said the Strawhats are important to the Kozuki and the Mink. If Momo was older or Hiyori could fight they’d be guarantees, but as they can’t, we’re left with Kin (the first person the Strawhats met in the New World, who Luffy technically invited within seconds of seeing him) as the best shot out of our current batch,

For it to be Carrot I’d have to believe that after knocking it out the park with crewmates ten times, Oda has had a totally uncharacteristic failure. Take the last chapter for example. All the Carrot for crew mate fans get excited because she hugs Jinbei with the rest of the crew... but then she utterly disappears despite being on the same ship. Why would Oda do that if she’s going to be a Strawhat and just as important as the rest? Would that not, in fact, be the perfect time to have Carrot join in with the rest of the crew and actually seem like a part of it? It’s not like on EL Oda was stepping back from involving Franky with the CP9 fight and the rest of the crew cause it was Robin’s chance to shine and he wasn’t a Strawhat yet.

That’s been the story of Carrot. Too often overlooked, too often in the background. A three panel flashback for her apparent character defining relationship with Pedro, for gods sake. That is not a character being set up as part of the main cast.

She’s also a very one note character. She’s energetic and fun. There’s not much else to her. There’s nothing in the way of conflict with the character, she’s shown none of the darker, more negative aspects that made the other Strawhats (never mind the Strawhats, any character really) compelling characters. The other Strawhats have all shown various degrees of self-loathing, being outsiders, guilt over their past etc. Carrot’s just... happy. Then Pedro died and she was sad. And now she’s happy again. Not exactly up there with a pathological need to lie due to the early death of a mother, fifty years in isolation due to a promise or a self-destructive, borderline suicidal devotion to a promise made to a childhood friend, is it? If Carrot was to be a Strawhat Oda would be devoting time to stuff like this, how the attack on Zou effected her, her relationship with Pedro. Like he’s done for Momo and Kin’emon’s relationship with Oden. He hasn’t done that though. So there’s only two options really- he’s badly fucked up, or Carrot simply isn’t important enough to get the time devoted to her.

Why do people wanna see Carrot join the Strawhats?
Stupid no? There's tons of stuff in mangá proving how not exist reason for this, but everyone ignore it and never argue seriously. I imagine that's because are dumbasses in love with a One Piece's rabbit girl and use emotion over logic.
The right for her is get a dark death from Perospero-sama or one of his siblings.

Eh, I'd be surprised if any of the Minks is a traitor. I think just Kanjuro has taken up that role.

As for Carrot, just a background character really. Like I said in the next nakama thread, Oda hasn't laid any foundation for her. No tragic backstory, no bond with Luffy, and nothing that really makes her stand out among the Minks. If she was a boy, I don't think as many people would even care. Nobody cared about Randolph from Cake Island despite him being a rabbit. I do think the Minks will likely become part of the grand fleet at some point in which case Carrot can help Luffy that way.

Well if no one else is joining I would welcome her.

I firmly believe Caribou deserves it more for how hard he is asking for it lol.
Caribou's a dod damned psycho. No way in hell he'll join Luffy. My bet is that Black Beard will barge in on Wano and to save his life, Caribou will tell him about Shirahoshi being Poseidon. So we'll probably have the WG using Pluton, Blackbeard threatening to acquire Poseidon and Luffy and co having to stop all the madness.

Also, Luffy has nothing but disdain for him, no way he is nakama material.

Kin'emon could perhaps be a closer potential recruit, but he's got a wife he has loved all his life and lost twenty years with. There is no way in hell he'd ditch her to go around gallivanting with pirates, not just after freeing Wano and with Momonosuke in needs of all the help he can get to rule it. It'd be trash writing from Oda to add him to the crew, when he has so man anchors to Wano. Remembers that he never wanted to leave Wano in the first place.

As for Momo... chapter 1 established that the pirate life isn't for kids.

If another join after Jinbe, for me it can clearly only be Carrot.

Before Carrot joins I would rather have Vivi on board again lol. Because she already has a well established relationship with all Strawhats sans Robin of course. Aside of that Carrot hasn't much of a character aside of being the cutesy furry token girl, just like the token black guy in movies, appears to make those furry lovers happy and for fanservice reason because tits but else nothing much is going on.

Randolph rules dude, I expected more from him in an Alice in wonderland theme.

Yes we know Caribou's personality. He is straight up insane, not to the bone however.

I believe it will be either him or Gastino to join the crew, but that's a gut feeling. There's no proof.

Just like we could say that Momo got more meaning to join than Kin'emon since the latter already fullfilled a contentful life.

Very unlikely to be another traitor. Especially not one like Sicilian because... who cares about Sicilian? He's had even less of an impact in the series than Kanjuro did. If he was revealed as a traitor it wouldn't have any effect at all.

As for Carrot, she's a distinctly alright character. She provided a bit of levity in early WCI and has a fun enough relationship with Chopper. On the other hand, Oda completely dropped the ball on her relationship with Pedro by having them barely interact before his death, barely had a flashback showing their relationship after, and ultimately left me wondering why I should even care. Senor Pink's relationship with his dead family was more emotional in a single chapter than Carrot's supposed tragic backstory happening before our eyes over an entire arc.

Ultimately a minor character, overshadowed by others in every arc she's appeared, will vanish away after Wano (like she's done in Wano) to sail around the world and have an adventure without the Strawhats, where she doesn't belong.
