People being put under a genjutsu before chakra IS the outdated stuff. Boruto confirms that every living thing has chakra, so they were put under a genjutsu because they have chakra. The chakra tree absorbing all chakra on the planet and everyone dying because of all the chakra being absorbed is in Boruto, which is not outdated lmao
