Chapter 1 000

So it's 3 weeks break now?:crazwhat:
Like others have said, 2020 isn't worthy of chapter 1000. Sometimes the universe has good intentions, but we simple weekly mangareaders don't understand it. It clearly means 2021 will be the greatest year in history, since it starts with the greates pair of chapters in manga
I'm 100% agree with this. Chapter 1,000 should be in the best year which is 2021 instead of garbage year like 2020.

Oda will take a break after 996
Don't think so, usually magazine breaks help him achieve longer stretches of content. If we go through magazine breaks, he's less likely to take his own breaks as a result. The only case this happened was in July and it was purely a COVID break, not Oda's actual break.

We very likely are getting:

995 mid November
996-998 early-mid December
999 early January
1000 mid January

The worst part is right now, we got a week break then one chapter, then no chapter for 3 weeks (2 week break). Once we hit 996 its not that bad of a stretch to 1000 cause we deal with those 2 holiday jump breaks every year and we get a chapter in the middle of it, plus Oda's Jump Festa comments

This is incorrect. After 995 we don't have a 2/3 week break.

Based on Oda's current break pattern, we will likely get Chapter 999 officially on 21 December. Chapter 1000 officially on 4 January while the fan scans may come out late December.

995 - 16 November
996 - 21 November
997 - 30 November

999 - 21 December

1000 - 4 January

My comment was before we found out it was a false alarm.

If Oda can muscle through 6 weeks without taking a break, then we'll get chapter 1000 at the end of the year. If he does that, then he can take 3 weeks off at the end of December going into January. Two week Jump break, and give him his regular break. Hell, give him a month off, just give us chapter 1000 before years end.
Impossible. Even if he try-hard. I expect at least one slip with apologizing "I didn't make the deadline".

Really like the above timeline. Hopefully, we can read chapter 1000 before end of 2020.

@T.D.A 's schedule above shows how we can get chapter 1000 via spoilers in December. If he at least does the next 3 chapters (already confirmed to get 996 next week), then it's very easy for us to make this deadline. If he miraculously decides to take no breaks, this is the only way he actually releases 1000 officially before January.

There is one more problem. Oda hyped 1000th to be something special.

So I assume he would need at least two weeks to work on this or he made sketches already alongside the latest stalling chapters.

Not sure why itd be any different from his normal drawing process.
It'll probably be a typical 17 page chapter with a color spread. The big thing is the content in the chapter.

Imo it will happen after Act 3 ends and before Act 4 begins. The next few chapters should be interesting because we are getting to a point where even the chapters close to 1000 should be somewhat big. 956 and 957 had those moments. Like 4 chapters pre-Wano did the same as well at the Reverie. It doesnt just have to be 1000, but the revelations around it.

I think Act 3 will last till 997-998 (a solid 40 chapters). Some big stuff will happen the next 3 chapters and it end on a cliffhanger. 998/999 will be the beginning of some big things that 1000 and maybe 1001 will continue.

I don't read Ippo yet but they didn't have 34879034128723487943827 pages for 1000 chapter so I don't know why people expect flames.

I'm more and more realizing that the big thing Oda talked about is probably going to be D. explanation:mihugh::queenhear:
