Chapter 1079 - The Emperor Red-Haired Pirates

I'm Kid's fan, and still continue to be him even now, when his story is over.
Was it dissapointing? For me? No, it was good chapter, I will say even great.
Shanks showed huge disrespect to New Era, youngster Kid. Unlike Kaido and Big Mom he didn't say anything good for Kid. He didn't try to convince him to join his forces. Shanks wanted to CRUSH Kid, without second thought and allowed giants to finish Kid's pirates.
I will say that Shanks and Beckman litteraly showed in most brutal light, when Beckman took Kid's arm, while Shanks just kill everyone. Shanks was showed as merciful monster who crush pirates dreams.
Was it good for plot point? If Shanks is just hypetool for BlackBeard, I will say that was awful decision, case Shanks already have hype, and never was cosidered as weak. If Shanks is hidden villain, or antagonist, well this is great decision from plot point.
THiS IS FINAL SAGA, PEOPLE SHOULD DIE HERE!
And now we can't be sure that anyone will survive in this FINAL SAGA, we finally could be scared for our character that we love.
THIS IS LAST SAGA! NO PLAYING GAMES. CHARACTER SHOULD DIE FROM THIS POINT.
And with all that we should remember that Pirates games are over, and now we will see cruel reality. And we know that to Egghead island Kizaru, Saturn and now BB is coming. So yeah. The strongest will survive...or maybe in the end even strongest will die.
I don't think that Kid will survive this...but if he did, then he is next Crocodile, who also was crushed by unlimited power of Younko.

Man, itโs incredibly obvious they rushed that chapter out because of the hype, isnโt it?
Reading spoilers was absurdly entertaining, have to be honest, but I still wonโt be doing it in the future.
For the chapter itself, Blackbeard (or one of his crew) going to Egghead is kind of the most interesting part? Shanks is showy, sure, but itโs not a massive plot development. The result of Kid getting beaten and Shanks getting the RP was what everyone should have expected. The brutality of it, not so much.
By the way, an extra bit of shitting on Kid that wasnโt talked about- Shanks really didnโt know much about him and had to get his crew to give him a report on him? Damn. Again, far more hype being that Shanks is getting set for what looks like an all out war with Blackbeard.
Kidโs consolation feat of blowing up a grand total of nine ships is crap lol.
Killer deserved better.
Going forward for Kidโฆ I still donโt see Oda writing him off. But I just cannot see a way back for him from the readers.
