Crocodile has strong pimp energy and Robin was his bottom bitch for a good while so the dots connect. Also iirc most officer agents didn't even meet with Crocodile because he had to keep his identity a secret as Mr. 0, all contact to Crocodile had to be filtered through Robin since she was the vice-president of Baroque Works (although she acted more like his sexy secretary).
