I just thought of this idea. It's probably not going to happen but I'll say it anyway. What if oda is allowing smoothie to become more assertive and proactive without someone's assistance by removing perospero(who seemed to have the most authority). I also think that the shadow Marco spotted could be the rest of the BMP, this gives smoothie a chance to showcase her abilities. Please tell me what y'all think of this🙏🙏🙏

Regardless, it's damage done then. Why make a character like that with no hints up to until now? It would be better if Ods was just holding her back rather than just being incompetent, all the while still a 2nd Commander.

I understand that but if he intends to be consistent with how he's portrayed her before then this would be a good way to redeem her imo

That would be great to see Smoothie becoming more assertive and proactive during Mama and Peros' absence but given how Oda has handled her so far it looks optimistic for now.

I'm all for Smoothie being a BAMF. She has tons of potential, I've always said so... but I make no excuses for Oda.
