No it's not sanji is far behind luffy and zoro now. Sanji can't even concretely beat king or Lucci rn both of which are mid diffs at best to zotoor luffy. He's not even the strongest yc1 level character. Sanji is going to have to get more pu's compared to zoro and luffy. If they all get the same level of pus the gap remains. Only major pu luffy gets is probably gear stacking all of his gear to make a new gear and zoro getting black blades. They already have top tier abilities that they are going to refine to get stronger sanji has to get the top tier abilities so he has to get more than what zoro and luffy already have. Gaban was shown to have fs and adcoc this arc which hypes sanji to get those as well. That right there is 3 pu for sanji what would be the equivalent 3 pu's for luffy and zoro? Those 3 pu won't likely even be the most power sanji is going to get.

Yes he can lmao. Sanji is not far from them now, nor will he ever be. Oda set the portrayal of these three. It doesn’t matter what exact power ups they all get Oda will maintain the portrayal. That’s why Oda had King and Queen be portrayed as nigh equals themselves because they are.

You can't use eos portrayal for current. Prime gaban looks yonko level can current sanji beat a yonko since he'll be stronger than prime gaban? Obviously not. What feat show sanji can mid diff king or lucci? King and queen were not nigh equals king was obviously stronger by queen massively hyping him and king showing way better feats.

Yes you can when the two are consistently portrayed this way… zoro and Sanji are still always has been, and clearly always will be portrayed as close rivals.

I believe the main takeaway of Oda showing Gaban being spoken of in the same breath as Roger and Rayleigh, flexing max level of all Haki types and being revered by Elbaph, is to show that the Roger Pirates weren’t a one-man show. Why? Because he noticed that his readers forgot Luffy’s crew is built on that exact same template, especially post-Wano brainrot powerlevel junkies that have Luffy lightyears ahead of Zoro or Sanji once he beat the arc's antagonist with infinite help.
If Roger’s two strongest men were nearly equal to him in strength and influence, then it’s outright foolish to assume Luffy is outpacing his own top two by any massive margin. Oda’s making it clear, Luffy doesn’t need to be miles ahead of Zoro or Sanji to become Pirate King, both are rising with him.
