How is it going to backfire lmfao? I never denied Luffy and Kizaru will clash. I also never said Kizaru was stronger than Luffy lmfao. Hell I never even said I’m positive Kizaru won’t fall this arc.
I think that you are reading too much into the statements I have made. Luffy objectively looks far shittier than Ryokugyu looked here, and Luffy did shiver from sensing Kizaru while also looking like god himself was staring into his soul.

Dear Lord, I knew from the way the spoilers described this scene that Luffy was scared of Kizaru, but this is a look of complete and utter terror. The Yonko who defeated Kaido is horrified of Kizaru’s power. Further proof that “Luffy laughed at Ryokugyu” is just complete nonsense.
I honestly want admirals to officially win the hype battle against old legends
Imo either Kizaru is losing after putting up a good/great fight against Luffy or we're getting some even clash with Luffy before they are getting interrupted.
That way if powered-up Zoro/Sanji or powered-up strong allies like Law take on admirals later, people will look forward to their fights.
People can push the Gorosei as god tiers if they want, but admirals are not just vanishing off-screen, even in the final saga Oda is treating them as a serious deal.
