Madara, AFO, Aizen... Shonen Jump is filled with overpowered, hype, characters with underwhelming and disappointing endings.

Out of them, Sukuna is holding on the best, and although it would be more satisfying to see him go all out and fall, it's less disrespectful if he gets defeated from this gauntlet and not just from the MC getting some random godtier powerup, some new villain appearing out of nowhere, or extreme PIS. The narrator actually feels the need to explain why Sukuna hasn't annihilated everyone yet, as he normally should.
