Same reason why VC don’t reveal the status of kid and law is the same reason why they won’t reveal Zoro’s CoC. They’re supplemental material and that stuff is main story material.
There was literal merch that had Zoro’s CoC listed and had to be pulled back because of it. Wouldn’t surprise me if the order came from Oda’s team

He probably does ''greenlight'' VCs, anime and other merch but it doesn't make it canon since even his own manga is sometimes contradictory to itself, so we either take manga+SbS only or we take everything (including videogames and other mediums) which would make powerscaling bat shit crazy...oh wait ! so your argument that “he’d say anything to sell” falls flat if you have any knowledge of what oda thinks about supplemental material.
