Some people didn't like when Oda gave this ability to Shiryu, but with DF Awakening, it could manipulate light and thus it will be an overpowered ability.

''light'' connection isn't just a coincidence, Oda is preparing something big with Shiryu.

Teach's ability look dark only because it pulls the light around the environment.

Shiryu's ability look invisible only because it allows the light in the environment to pass through him.

And what would the connection be? Assuming that it's as you say, they don't even interact with light the same way. Besides, Teach's DF has some characteristics and is probably inspired by how black holes work but I doubt it's the real thing.

What's ineffective about this? If somethings absorbs most of the light spectrum the only result is that it will look black.

Paramecia Awakening doesn't grant New Powers
It simply allow User to apply their Power on other things

Kid is a Magnet Man --- He turns other things into Magnets
Law have Room around himself --- He can make Room around other things
Katakuri is Mochi Man --- Turns other stuff into Mochi

No need to complicate things, Awakening isn't doing something that They originally couldn't do
It simply allows them to apply their Powers elsewhere

Shiryu is Invisible Man, his Awakening allows him to turn other shit Invisible
Such as making an entire Island disappear or entire army

Stop imagining some Bankai shit
Current Shiryu or Future Shiryu is as Strong as Pre-TS Shiryu
His DF is only to make him more Dangerous when it comes to Infiltration & Murder & any Stealthy Mission

I haven't thought of this before but Clear and Darkness are indeed sharing a connection.
I wonder if there will also be another connection between their Zoan fruits once they obtain them.
