Kaido, Big Mom, and King don't have awakening.
World Strongest Creature, the Hundred Beast, the character whom generally agreed as Top 1 before his downfall, the one who made Doflamingo scared shitless doesn't have awakening.
While Doflamingo himself has one, and Luffy randomly gained one during Rooftop.
It is as bad as Ichigo gained bankai in three days, only to find out the likes of Yamamoto, Ichibei, and Kyoraku doesn't have it.

I can go on and on but some of the main reasons are that oda is dragging the show and killing the tension in his arcs. Luffy getting Koed from kaido 5 times dying and then coming back to life as a god is all you need to know.

I will not convince you that One Piece is bad but that timeskip is inferior to pre timeskip and WCI and Wano fucking sucks.
First of all pre timeskip was all about adventures. Only few continued arcs we had an objective place to go like Whiskey Peak up to Alabasta saga, Jaya and Skypea, Water 7 and Ennies Lobby and finally Amazon Lily to Marineford (maybe O should count Baratie and Cocoyasi Village).
Not only that but the arcs didn't had thousands of wasted panels that brings no interests to the reader. One small arc of pre timeskip had more information than the biggest arcs of post timeskip like Dressrosa, WCI and specially Wano.
Pre timeskip is all about new information while post timeskip is repetitive talking about already known informations.
Finally pre timeskip fights rocks while post timeskip is straight forward punching and being punched until one of them can't punch anymore.
Now specially about WCI and Wano. Luffy was all of himself and we believed on him because of timeskip and how superior to his initial enemies his was in post timeskip even against Doffy when he used G4.
Then Oda decided to make Luffy a piece of shit to hype Yonko. Not even in pre timeskip he got one shottwd by Admirals why now that he was fighting the strongest people he would be one shotted? And them the worst of those arcs are the underwhelming conclusions to them and their main fights. Luffy vs Katakuri was kind of good but the finally sucks.
Luffy vs Kaido sucks all of it. Unexplained and terrible build up power ups. Luffy constantly losing and coming back stronger for no reason and without any consequences. Luffy lost 5 times while Kaido could only lost once.
