Speculations Countermeasures of the Great Flood

The breaking news that threatens to put Big News Morgans out of business is that the world will be flooded!

And right away we assume that the evil World Government is the one who will sink the world into the sea, right?
Not a soul would probably disagree but I am not just any soul, I am the Great Kitetsu-dono!
It is my job to disagree with the masses.

If the World Government wants to sink the world into the sea, why did they order an Amazon delivery for one of the many existing countermeasures to that same flood?!

Just 100 years after the Ancient 100-years long battle, the World Government ordered a construction project that lasted for the last 700 years. While its purpose remains unknown officially, we can assume that it is a countermeasure to the incoming great flood due to its size alone. Of course, I am talking about the mega project called Tequila Wolf, the Giant Bridge!

What now? The things do not add up.
Why give the people a safe route if you want them to sink in the first place...
Why would those who live on an even bigger and taller piece of ancient construction concern themselves with something like this bridge?
Especially because we are talking about the Celestial Dragons, the individuals who consider everything below the Red Line as insects...

Talking about the Red Line itself, it is just another countermeasure to the great flood, probably the best countermeasure there is.
The sheer size of it might suggest that it has some other purpose as I speculated in another thread but regardless, it is flood-immune.
It is unknown when it was constructed and by whose orders so we cannot really speculate more...

If we take a look at design of certain islands, we can notice that their topography is designed so that they could resist this incoming flood as well. For example, Drum Island with its huge mountains in the middle or Dressrosa with its huge mountain range ring around the island, tho post-Fujitora some leaks can be found... Of course, we have to mention the natural fortress that is Wano as well which is, interestingly, an artificial structure instead of a natural formation.

Speaking of artificial countermeasures for the incoming great flood, do we all remember another country combating this same issue?
Of course, the city/island of water, Water 7! The major of this island has placed one task on the table and that is making Water 7 float!
While combating Aqua Laguna, which btw foreshadows the great flood, Iceburg is coincidentally preparing against the great flood as well.

While we are speaking of the counters to the raising sea levels, we cannot skip several other islands/cities...
The most obvious are all the Sky Islands and there are numerous of them, we know of several at least.
Weatheria, Baloon Terminal, Skypiea...

Now, I am saving these up for the last.

The walking city - Zou!
Located on top of the largest known animal in the One Piece world, an entire city exists without a single worry about the rising sea levels.
Why? Because the huge elephant has incredibly long legs and now we finally know why.
If another 200 meters were flooded, Zou would sleep through it all...

If there is a city that walks the seas, could there be a city that sails the seas? Of course!
Just like Zou, it is another thing with a connection to Joyboy, the island-sized ship Noah!
An incredibly big, ancient ship awaits to be used when the time comes.

A lot of people assumed its purpose was to carry the fishmen to the surface but why would a race that can breathe underwater need a ship?!
I suspect this is another countermeasure to the great flooding as the ship is nearly same size as the Fishmen Island.

Now, we have a "walking city" as well as the "sailing city" and in the popular theme of Land, Sea and Air, we should have another one.
The flying city! Foreshowed through many things, whether the theme itself, the Ancient Weapons or flying Onigashima and more.

While the sailing city Noah has a connection to Poseidon, we could say that the walking city Zou could have a connection to Pluton.
That leaves us with flying city being connected to the Uranus, the ancient weapon of the sky.
At this point it is still pure speculation but I would revisit the idea that the missing God Valley is either Uranus or the flying city.

One Piece itself draws a lot of inspiration from Laputa, Castle in the Sky so it would be odd if we end up without a flying city.
Either way, while Vegapunk's message brings news of a dark future, we see that the world is a lot more flood-proof than we thought.

I believe there will be an ancient weapon that can terraform probably what was used to create the red line. Thats one countermeasure. Then there is Akainu who if awakened can create huge landmasses with his fruit, couple that with Aramaki to create life on said landmases and voila you have new land.

I do agree that God Valley will come into play somehow though

Think about it, as far as we know there’s no hole where it used to be and the island completely vanished

So where did it go? It either sank into the sea, was destroyed (but not by Uranus), or it was moved somehow

For all we know (assuming it still exists) that could be where the last Poneglyph is hidden

Great Thread, i totally agree that all of those you mentioned were indeed Countermeasures for the Great Flood
I can even add more such as Elbaf Mountains, Whales like Laboon can Help rescue People, that means Sea Kings as well
Ship Coating, Vegapunk's Cloud Technology, certain DFs could have been created by People who dreamt of Escaping such Calamity ... etc

However, i just wanna say something else to think about
What if People aren't supposed to Survive The Flood, They are Supposed to Drown!
As Roger said "Let's Turn The World Upside Down"
People are living on the Wrong Side of The Sea

Luffy started his Journey Drowning
He was also forced to Drown before entering Wano
If DFs are Created from Dreams & the Sea wants them to Drown, maybe it wants to Fulfill their Dreams

And just like Oda Inspired so many things from Movie of Baron Munchausen
That Movie also included a Scene of Main Characters Drowning so deep, to the point They emerged from another Side, as if the World was reversed & it was very important for the Ending

We also have Legend of Vander Decken who lived in Void Century (Cuz He heard about First Poseidon when She was still Alive)
And a Great Storm was indeed mentioned in his Story, and guess what did He do to Anger Sea God? He drowned his own Crew.
People thought He went Crazy, but maybe He was trying to save them & fulfill their Dreams somehow

For the Sky unless a way exist to reach it safely it's unlikely
As for under the sea you need some equipment to go there so how can SH do it

Moreover SH have 3 RP now or 2 so they would understand it's not an Island no ?

Sea level rising doesn't even sound like that much of a threat tbh.

We have a moving elephant, a city in the sky, a Dragon Fruit that can lift islands casually, and actual sea race civilization. Some will die but many can migrate to these places if need be.

I have to re-read this part of the story as my recollection of it is very poor.
The idea of drowning is certainly interesting.
If my memory serves me right, Oda has never shown any DF user drown...

Yes, it is an island but nothing stops it from being an island in the sky or under the sea(flooded 800 years ago)...
Both options are quite logical when we consider that nobody can find it randomly so it cannot be bumped into by accident.
Nobody looks for it under the water's surface or far into the sky.

The under the sea option could be less likely as Fishmen could randomly find it as water is not an issue for them.
That leaves the sky as the most probable option.
We saw that people arent aware of sky islands even when they stand right under it on the blue sea.

OP's World is pretty huge.
But let's see those ministories with Enel still got no conclusion despite looking important

For the longest time I believed that One Piece was under water.
Its the only thing that makes sense, really, since it is the only place that can not be accessed easily.
There are flying DFs and flying machines. If it were in the sky it could be stumbled upon by pure chance.
The ocean on the other hand keeps out DF users and also other vehicles from going down far. Especially in the calm belt.
Being under the sea also makes it impossible to find it with just 2 or 3 Road Poneglyphs since you can not directly see when you travel along the lines where the One Piece might be.

Now we found out that the sea level was lower before. Which means that many structures that were build in the past are now under water.
This makes it likely that the structure or place that hold the One Piece also got submerged.

Another thing that I find interesting is that Shanks does not have a Devil Fruit.
He has been close to Laugh Tale once before and choose not to ingest any fruit so far. As if he knows something that others do not.
