For reference, Mellow was a town leaning indie last game iirc, and is a fan favorite character of Ratchet's.

This is pretty much the only claim that can absolve him atm and I dunno if I buy it.

Alibaba is not packing his usual indie roll energy, he came out in the most reluctant way possible after Lanji suggested he was indie he was like "yeah".

I would also expect Mellow to have a slightly more nuanced wincon, although killing Kira makes sense. It's kinda weird to design an indie whos only point is that they have an easier time than town.

Do you mean *safe* fake claims? I don't see Mello being one of those, honestly, but it's not like Mello is going to come out and counterclaim that anyway. It's a name that I just dropped as a potential pro town indie, so he could have just rolled with that.

If I was making a set up I’d have made Mello more neutral, slightly Town leaning flavor wise.

I agree it’s weird he didn’t claim indie if his wincon is strictly pro Town. But if he’s really Mello, at worst I’d think he’s somewhat pro Town even if he’s not being fully honest.
