And even if the Source is legit, the information doesn't make Akainu = Prime Garp, not until some feats.
While I do think Akainu has a chance to be the Strongest Marine ever, it's not a Vivre Card or Data book that's gonna cement it.

Either way, it's a nice addition, and it's cool.

There were always subtle hints that proved why Akainu is superior to Sengoku both mentally and as a combatant.

People read Jinbe saying that specifically under Akainu's leadership the Navy got stronger in a single year than the two decades they were led by Sengoku and pretend like narratively that isn't a direct strength comparison between Akainu and Sengoku.
It's common sense that in the age of the MC we'll see the biggest climax and their oponnents will be at the strongest they've ever been, this doesn't concern the level of the other Admirals as they won't fight Luffy but only Akainu.

Gonna be honest Prime Garp vs Akainu is on, but given how close Prime Sengoku was to Garp and how there is the scan translated by Eten it's just a matter of time when the vast majority will have to accept that Akainu is at worst equal to him in strength.
That's all we need. Prime Garp was PK level already.
