Says mr. The blade might be a different color
:sanmoji:
Me: "The blade can be any color, i don't really care. All i know is it isn't black."

You: "You said the blade might be a different color!"

I'm still against Ryo having a black blade, doesn't mean the drawing isn't piss poor
That is his official character design in the anime being shown in an article, which was signed off by Toei.
Whether it's poor or not is irrelevant, that's how he will be shown in the anime.

Yes
:sanmoji:
If you think it can be any color besides the plain steel color it is in the anime than the anime doesn’t matter

Tbh, and I saw it here for the first time, it seems that even with Katakuri his first weapon design - reveled in a magazine - was not only different different from the manga, but even different from its later design in the very same anime:

If you read the narrative he shouldn't have one
This alongside the anime basically confirming the color of the blade should be enough proof. He is a logia df user he never once pulled out his sword to fight despite fighting for multiple chapters. The bare minimum i would expect from a master swordsman to rely heavily on their swords everything else comes after that. instead we had GB relying on his df during the whole fight even hyping up his logia powers. How does one read these panels and conclude swordsmanship is aramaki main fighting style to the point he can rival Ryuma and Mihawk:nicagesmile:

Katanas only have two colors in the manga. Metallic or black.

There’s never been any evidence for a sword any color besides that lol. It’s like saying randomly, someone’s haki might be blue or yellow.

I never once said it is some other color you muppet.
I said i don't care what color it is.

Learn to read.

Depends, this was released way before he showed up in the series - when they animated him like this for an Opening.
His VA was announced way earlier because he had a scene, where he shows up to WCI which was not in the manga.

Meanwhile, GB's VA & design was released 2 weeks before his appearance on screen. :kayneshrug:

Yeah.

Sorry, how does one read Marineford and conclude Aokiji is a brawler and Garp imitator, exactly?

Probably, but then we know they can change designs pretty freely, if the need arises.
It is not fixed.

But if this was earlier, then is easier to understand why.

The strange thing is that they still draw Katakuri that way even if the manga panel was the same and quite clear.

Oda can make a katana's blade any color he wants, he colored Shusui's hamon bright red here
Oda can literally do anything he wants, that's not an argument when he only has two distinct colors for his katanas in a 1000+ chapter series. It's the headcanon of headcanons to have said Greenbull's blade is a different color without any evidence for it.

Did you just ignore the image I posted or what? Oda can make Greenbull's blade whatever fucking color he wants to, there's no rule preventing him from doing so, especially since he's already made part of Shusui's blade bright red.

What's headcanon is assuming Ryokugyu's blade is a black blade because it's black in a black and white manga, black can be any dark color and white can be any light color, it's not indicative of anything.

Are you slow in the head?

Oda can do whatever he wants. That isn't evidence that, prior to the anime preview for Greenbull, his blade could be any color other than black. Oda's never introduced or drawn a sword that wasn't one of two colors: metallic grey or black.

But we agree, I see, that black can't be white (and for white I mean the normal light katana color).
