Ahhh it feels…good? To be back? Is that the right word?

I wasn’t even gone three weeks and I return to find Admiral haters, who spent the past 12
Years downplaying the Admirals for being defenders of the Celestial Dragons, now doing a victory lap and stanning their favorite Celestial Dragon defenders, specifically because they are defending the Celestial Dragons lmfao. “Admirals aren’t defending the Celestial Dragons!! L!!” They type with a straight face lmfao.

Once again Garp demonstrates why he is one of the shittiest characters Oda has ever written: he deluded himself to believing that he is free, and yet he was the only Marine to rush to Saint Figarland’s defense when Figarland was committing genocide lol. Literally all Garp had to do was stay away and let Rox and his crew exterminate these people and 80% of the evil in the OP world would’ve disappeared without a trace, but Garp couldn’t stop himself from saving the most evil people in the manga under the guise of “muh freedom!!!”

Now, I’ve had a lot of people questioning my unexpected departure from WorstGen and I’m not going to answer literally everyone at once, so for any who are interested:

My absence was due to a few factors.

First, irl obligations. We are selling our house and moving to a bigger city for bigger jobs, so I may not be too active in the next 3-4 weeks as we sort out that stuff. TBD.

Two, yes, FuckUp Animation AKA Toei actually did break me
:parkcry:

I genuinely, honestly, 100% no trolling believe they fucked up here. When Oda comes out and tells me Ryokugyu doesn’t have a black blade, I’ll concede. Until then, I will maintain that Toei is a bunch of retards as they have always been and fucked up Ryokugyu the same way they fucked up numerous other characters in the past. I shall not give up hope, all the arguments I made I still believe.

Three, I needed a mental health break from this fucking forum lol. I’m sure you guys all understand.

I actually didn’t mind 1095 that much, yeah I’m tired of Oda holding the Admirals back this much but Kizaru being dazed wasn’t a big deal to me. Not like what Toei did to Ryokugyu, I lost sleep over that I won’t lie lmfao. But Kizaru I didn’t think was that bad. Akainu looked worse against Whitebeard but ofc Akainu still low diffed Marineford Whitebeard when they fought so nbd.

So tell me, who are your guys’ favorite Celestial Dragon bootlickers? I prefer Roger to Garp personally, but I know many Marine fans inexplicably love Garp lol. Which genocide supporting Celestial Dragon defender is your favorite?

Yeah I think you could easily make a case for that, I think anyone who knows anything at all about OP would have never made this mistake:

An entire animation studio missed this. Lol
Lmao that's 10 + years ago production.
Give me mistake in post time skip lol.

And I have already told you , Power wise doesn't make any difference. That's like one panel of it and that too in flashback.
Ryukugyu is fighting in present time. Current day production of one of the most famous anime out there.

They never missing this detail , because this directly correlates to strength.

A whip or pick axe aren’t swords. You can’t complain about hypocrisy then be so blatantly disingenuous.

You can say that Aramaki’s sword is the first time that Oda has coloured a sword as black in the manga when it wasn’t a black blade and still keep your opinion.
The pointless detractions don’t help the argument though.

The point of contention is whether the sword is a black blade or not. Everyone can see it’s coloured black in the manga, but that doesn’t necessarily confirm either option.

Even if Greenbull has a blackblade, his main attacking method is his logia devil fruit. It would devalue Mihawks and Odens blades by having a non-sword specialist make a black blade.

Stolen or looted is the only way I could see him have one, because otherwise making black blades has more to do with haki than swordsman skill.

Greenbull however, does not have a blackblade as of all the evidence we have seen so far. Oda's probably just blind and didn't notice he colored in too much.

That’s the thing though, the person with the most monstrous Haki (Roger) didn’t have one, so it’s never really mattered for overall power levels.

It is certainly a unique feat like you said, but to many it just doesn’t matter much because the only actual difference in practice is the colour.

That may change in the future and it may turn out that black blades do something particularly special…but at this point it simply makes no difference besides aesthetic. Especially since “having” one doesn’t even mean you necessarily made it yourself.
Ryuma or Mihawk could easily turn out to have stronger Haki than Roger though.
More importantly, even if it is just CoA, having one of greatest CoA in centuries is an amazing feat.

That's not how Oda writes though.
Besides, no, some swords are simply better than others and turning sword black does increase its rank

Black blades are harder and seem to offer more power when user swings. Having a black blade automatically makes the swordsman have one of best possible weapons.

I took @Elder Lee Hung's request seriously and I went to look for anything that resembled a sword so he could at least get an example since I couldn't find another black sword (didn't take the time either).

Yet, your sassy ass who loves arguing over nothing decided to write down this completely useless post calling me dishonest, hypocrite... How dense are you? How do you deal with this in real life? Chill the fuck down.

Then you wonder why I don't reply to your posts, Jesus christ.

It sounds like you proved to yourself the exact point I was trying to make: that Oda has never colored a silver blade black, nor as he colored a blade black while actually intending for the blade to be a different color.

Because like I said, Oda is extremely particular when it comes to the coloring of silver and black blades in his manga. And Ryokugyu’s very much appears to be a legitimate black blade which is why multiple figurine companies interpreted it as such as Oda reinforced the blade’s black coloring in the official volume release.

I didn't look at every single panel of the manga from chapter 1 until chapter 1096 so I can't confirm that.

All I know is that Oda casually draws stuff in black, even things that resemble a sword, which turn out to be another color in a colored version. Which is legitimate as the manga is "black and white" and dark colors are not always black like light colors are not always white. Otherwise, contrast would be difficult to be made in a "black and white" manga.

So that changes nothing to the point I made earlier.

Like I said,
- Ryokugyu's sword was never confirmed to be black
- Oda draws stuff in black that turn out to be another color than black in official colored versions: Queen's hair...
- The official animation colored Ryokugyu's sword in silver while it was black in the manga, why did they do that? The last time they did such a drastic change in the color tone was for Queen's hair and they were actually right as they certainly asked Oda

You can question the official animation but don't forget the other points and don't forget all of the instances where Toei actually colors everything right (99.99%).

Don't ignore the elephant in the room.
