But we also see Kujaku's whip/sword and Luffy's hover boots and hoodie as black in the manga, and then Oda draws them as red in volume covers.
So despite all the evidence that points to the contrary, are you so stubborn that you can't even admit that this may just be another case of Oda drawing something as a different color than it actually is in the colored manga or color spreads?
Fact is: if Oda intend his sword to be green, brown, even red, okay. It was "dark" in the manga so it is possible that in the actual colored version is another color then just "black", but still a color that in a black and white manga you draw as "black".
Then one could say wooden swords don't have hamons and so on, but now we are talking only about the color.
However, in that magazine sketch it was plain white, and that does not make any sense.

Go on, find another instance, just one, of a black colored sword that was drawn white in the colored version of the manga. White, not green or red or every other color.

Because swords have been established to have only 2 colors:
White = regular steel [default]
Black = haki/permanent black blade
There is no other color that blades can have other than black
And there has never been an instance where black haki shading means regular steel color
When turned black, they also gain hamon teeth in the middle of the sword
