Face it, I won't lie but I have doubts if Oda purposely hid and didn't emphasize Kaidou's race in order to explore later, or if he truly went insane and didn't care about this aspect. Kaidou and Yamato are the only ones shown so far in One Piece, we don't even know their origins or if there are many out there, it seems to be an extinct race to be honest, and several times Zoro is associated with demons, which could mean that he may not be purely a demon but part of his blood is from one, this explains his enormous resistance.
Kaido, Yamato (and Black Maria too IMO) are ....... Ogre/Oni?
I think that is a species that is somehow related to giants. Since we have the giants like Oars that are oni type giants.
I hope that this would be addressed in the Elbaf arc.........unless it's usual Loda shenanigans lmao.
What I am talking about here is more of the devil/demon that we usually think of when hearing of the term - the counterpart to Gods.
Imu being the demon counterpart to Sun God Nika, that kind of demons.
Yeah, Asura has got me thinking too.
There are multiple advanced conqueror's haki users. But conqueror's haki manifesting as a demon god is something that only happened with Zoro.
I honestly think that the train scene is just shading rather than demonic smile from Zoro lol.
But yes, Zoro definitely has some demonic themes running for him as well

Yes they are, about Black Maria it's hard to know after all the beast pirates use accessories that are identical to horns so it's hard to distinguish...

No, is Sasaki a fish man?
Page One does not have horns, they were just accessories for his hat.
it was said in an SBS that gifters and higher wear fake horns. Pleasures are only allowed to have one horn, while higher ranks can have two or more, it's the way beast pirates dress. Plus it was confirmed that Ulti and Page One are biological siblings, so there is no way for one to be Oni and other not to be.

Yes, but Black Maria's horns are too conspicuously similar to Yamato's.
Almost as if this is how female Ogre's horns look.
Yamato:
Black Maria:
While the usual Beast Pirates are pretty obviously wearing accessories.
I hope Oda won't become typical Loda and forget about delving more into Kaido's species.
Kaido words to Yamato should mean something. She being a naive sheltered fool who doesn't know much about outside world, probably doesn't know about how Ogres are treated outside.
Chances are, the navy/govt tries to get their hands on all the Ogres they could, to get them join their ranks....similar to giants.
Kaido himself was one such case as a teenager, where govt forcibly tried to recruit him.

Yes, kaidou was very valuable as a child, he was the nation's strongest soldier at just 10 years old and if he went with the world government, that in itself would make the Vodka kingdom able to participate in "Levely ".
Yes Black Maria's horns look very real but so do Page-One's:
Maybe they're Dellinger's breed that's why they hide their teeth.
Kid Black Maria vs Yamato kid
Horns are different...

if we take the meaning of the word "'Onigashima" we might actually know Kaido's race origin.
Onigashima means oni island or demon island, we know that Kaido is an oni, & most likely the island got it's name from the big skull, so the skull belongs to an oni as well, considering how large that skull is, we can say that it belongs to someone from the same race as Oars, since Kaido & Oars are Onis, then it's clear that Kaido is probably a human-oni hybrid, but there are two questions here:
was it a coincidence that Kaido came to Onigashima? because it's suited for him since he is an oni!
how did that giant oni like Oars married to a human that he might not be able to even see due to the massive difference in size? did he have a DF that can change his size? or she was a giant?
