I feel like it isn’t a coincidence that Law showed a DF negation haki technique before he faced Teach. I think this could possibly be the secret to bypassing the yami yami no mi.
Law lost because his DF negation wasn’t very good. He struggled to do it against Doc Q’s powers. Meanwhile Kaido and BM casually had it up on the roof.
I think going forward, Luffy and Law will both master this haki. This will give them immense durability, like Kaido and BM had. As a result, they will be able to face Blackbeard without losing their powers.
However inevitability Teach will awaken and as we saw with Kid and Law vs BM, awakening is capable of bypassing DF negation haki. So ultimately Law won’t be able to deal with this and will probably lose to awakened Teach.
However due to Luffy having ACoC, I think he might be able to utilize an even stronger version of DF negation, allowing him to counteract even the yami’s awakening.
