No considering the fact that King capsized Big Mom and Prometheus was seemingly on vacation, Kizaru would troll diff Linlin at sea.

Big Mom pirates were saved by Wano propaganda and Lord Kaido's name. There would be no hope unless she managed to make a light homie to ride on.

It is. Big Mom is a jobber without the CoO and speed needed to beat Kizaru in that circumstance.

It's no wonder then that Kizaru was so confident given his abilities because remember Kaidou could not even perceive G4 Snakeman.

Taking down the 2 of them is different from handling business and separating them. He now has the speed feats to back his statement, especially when you factor in he never went all out.

No one is catching Kizaru if he wants to escape, so to answer your question, no Akainu did not save him he could save himself at any point by leaving if he felt threatened.

It is never about Kaido nor Big Mom. Conversation ended with "Wano samurai".

Which Wano samurai Akainu meant is the question:
- Not Oden, during Oden flashback he never fought against Navy, Akainu shouldn't have known much about Oden
- Not nine scabbards not only they are scrubs, Akainu also never met them
- Not Ryuma, not making sense someone like Akainu is still worried about tale from 400 years ago.

Since Akainu has been working in Government for 32 years, most likely answer is he refers to someone who is/was also working with Government too. The old timer one, not a 2 years newcomer.

Akainu was worried there were army of Wano samurais as strong as the one in his mind, jumping on Kizaru together.
