Gaban's lightning only looks small because the key is 3x his size. If you swapped out the key for one of his axes in that shot, the lightning would be huge in comparison.

Don't forget we're looking at them fight in the scale of giant sized objects.

Idk yall but the lightning trails are exactly the same of CoC coating. There is an empty blank space around them, and there are flaws in the trails (like tiny holes and gaps)

And after the attack lands, we can still see them

I honestly see no difference from this, other than the quality of the image, which certainly affects the details (unofficial panels vs official VIZ)

Also, why did Luffy and Zoro felt so shocked here? They don't have an idea of who the old man is, so what explains such reaction? Perhaps they felt some unsettling aura?

Going a bit further into what Gaban showed this chapter... Did he saw the future here? This would explain he didn't care about dodging, he might've know that once he surrendered, Luffy and Zoro wouldn't try to land their moves on him.

Coc not really, Oda these days colors black lighting at everything.

Why some special people thinks Gaban cannot have coc ? He is left arm , he joined numerous top tier fights. He is know very well by people. What is wrong then ? And i actually do not care power scale in one piece. Oda giving one of most powerful devil fruit kaido and he said devil fruit is not important which one piece started his journey devil fruit system. So many inconsistency. Actually it is not even make sense nika transformation automatically leaking coc :)) if devil fruit and haki is not related end of the day. Oda and his creepy power system make people …… :))

I think Gaban has Future Sight like you pointed out, seemed to me he saw that Luffy and Zoro would stop if he said he surrenders, which is why he was so confident and had a massive grin (Oda put the visual indicator of showing a spark in his glasses). For CoC same thing, no confirmation but post CoC Coating reveal I'm simply gonna assume anyone who has haki streaks coming from their weapon prior to landing has CoC.

This is a reasonable analysis tbh. Putting any agenda aside the way the panel is drawn and the person being talked about here is a clear indicator he is using CoC. The panel is really similar to those of Kaido swinging around his club.

the only reason Oda don’t make it super obvious becusse he wanna save it for Sanji awakening first. Then once Gaban comes back in the future we will see him use adv coc to save his son or something
