Lololol. There's no way a teacher will everything to his student just like that. You have to grow and find them all by yourself.

He was clueless about him having COC and him unleashing COC through Asura.

He wouldn't tell him about Shanks. They aren't friends.
If Zoro is clueless about his own CoC, how does that explain his recognizing Luffy's in FI?

It's possible he told him of his long last rivalry with Shanks yes :endthis:

Perhaps he didn't mention about all the secrets of haki in order to have Zoro grow naturally and maybe afraid he could have become too potent too fast differently.
I don't think it's bad to become too potent too quickly, tho.

He is clueless and only unlocked it on Oni island. There’s a difference between not knowing you had CoC and not knowing CoC in general. Sanji doesn’t have CoC and recognized Luffy’s CoC which at that point there was no reason to believe he saw CoC blast in action prior to being part of the SHs. Oda had many chances to reveal Zoro as CoC user all along with prior experience in using it and have other characters comment on it as well as VCs, but no.

Alright. Fair enough.

A simple answer for a simple question.

I think Mihawk informed Zoro of both, which explained why Zoro got the hang of it fairly quickly after eavesdropping on Luffy and Kaido in 1010.

And since Zoro wants to replace Mihawk as WSS, I think there is a good chance Mihawk told him about a former rival.

:myman:
I don't think so.

Mihawk talking about shanks doesn't make sense from narrative point of view and also considering Mihawk's personality - not an extrovert and social kind of person

ADCoC - Even Rayleigh didn't tell Luffy about AdCoC or even AdCoA.

So I am sure all Mihawk did is teach Zoro some basic haki and then leave it on Zoro to grow himself after all Haki blooms during fights

Would be totally out of character for Mihawk to talk about those things.

What i could see is Mihawk having CoC and have used it a time in front of Zoro, he asked more about it and Mihawk give a small explanation, nothing more.

Mihawk talking less and letting Zoro discover things by himself seems like the kind of teacher he is, very different from Ray.

Zoro new about CoC but not about ACoC otherwise he would have told Luffy.

Which makes seems Mihawk doesn't have ACoC. And he had no reason to tell Zoro about Shanks. They were teacher and students not friends.

Ray-san has advCoA and didn’t tell Luffy about it, he only told Luffy about FS because Luffy sucked at using CoO, so we can’t say just because the teacher didn’t teach it then he doesn’t have it.

For me Mihawk told Zoro about Shanks since he expects Zoro to beat Shanks before fighting him again

Good point. But Rayleigh also told Luffy that only extreme situations haki blooms. So maybe it was useless for any of them to teach their students about avanced haki techniques.
