Exactly, did Luffy suffer any attacks from Kizaru when he entered Gear 5? I think only that paper cut from Kizaru's light sword, and after that, the cut didn't even leave a bruise. It was completely healed by Luffy's Zoan recovery. After that, Kizaru simply didn't do anything more. On the other hand, Kaido bit Luffy, charred him with a blast of heat, and finally landed a Ragnarok right on his head, making him fall, tremble, and end up with a huge bump on his head. Shortly after that, he exited Gear 5.


And unlike what happened here, after dominating Gear 5 and forcing Luffy to revert to his Base form, Oda had to save Luffy from Kaido by having Kaido reach his limit right at that moment. This was after Kaido had been simply observing and talking with Luffy, who was trembling on the ground.

In other words, PIS (plot-induced stupidity) saved Luffy, just like the accumulated damage that Kaido endured from dozens of people. However, Kizaru was clearly saved by a PIS that Oda inserted. LMAO

It seems pretty obvious to me, in this case his heart is beating just fine. He can restart his heart with g5, but he can’t magically imbue himself with stamina (at least not yet)

Wouldnt his stamina be even lower when he was on deaths door? I mean G5 brought him back from the dead.

1. Vs Kaido was the equivalent to getting a near fatal bullet wound or car accident. G5 acted as a defibrillator to restart his heart. Vs Kizaru was the equivalent to running a marathon. He’s totally out of stamina but there’s no lethal damage. Really his health is in no danger at all, he just needs time to recover. A defibrillator wouldn’t do anything here.

2. Since he was literally resurrected from the dead against Kaido, Oda could take artistic license to make that work however the hell he wanted, hopefully for the first and last time, and he decided to resurrect Luffy back into fighting shape.

Plot reasons. He waits until Kuma comes and when Saturn is about to kill Kuma and bonney, he gets back up.
If he gets back up now he negging the insect.

not even 5 minutes properly. I saw this nothing more than comic strip , have y'all never watched cartoon's?
this beating of heart is more like gear 2 pumping more blood and drawback , gear 2 decreases life span , law and kidd outright stated "Awakening consumes" more stamina , but luffy case it's outright different why?
Luffy bros wanked it sky with luffy will use this heart restarting but did he?
- Kizaru stalled G5 more than Kaidou , he outright mentions it that he should be out of limit now.
- which doesn't mean kizaru is stronger than kaidou.
- it's pathetic for luffy too , he straight up went to use g5 , peak of his ability , because remaining everything else was demolished.
- a "yonkou" , couldn't land do shit to an admiral for 10 min and packs one punch in the end and goes out.
- now name me an emperor who would be this pathetic? not even bigmam!!
- Hell , now as luffy fans themselves pushing Kizaru helping luffy agenda , Kizaru gave up immediately to do anything once saturn arrived , he can't show his half assed resolve whether he wants to kill Vegapunk or not , he more or less played around and got punched now.
- Saturn says it's "Unprecedented" for you to be slow in an execution order like this, Unprecedent literally means "never having happened or existed before " , Kizaru wasn't even trying!!!! to fight.
- Saturn next dialogue was , Given the Circumstances the disappointment is understandable , what circumstances?
- Kizaru being well acquainted with Vegapunk for 2 years? Kizaru can't go all out in the island due to mother flame fuel? Admirals rocks at huge AoE attacks. Now imagine throwing Akainu in this fight and asking him not to make AoE Magma attacks.

- Luffy still Ain't ready , If you have to use awakening immediately , you are not surviving yonkou category for sure. Law , Kidd , Luffy all used Awakening , Oda was kind enough to give luffy a plot where the person infront wasn't even trying.

Not much was offscreened, they had a bit of a back and forth in one panel. Most of the fight is Kizaru duking the fight because he doesnt want to fight Luffy. Apparently that was more taxing then Luffy being on deaths door lmao.
