Lasting scar =/= lasting damage
Two completely different things.

Lasting damage = what Zoro had after Mihawk's fight which troubled him in some moments in his fight against Hachi.
Kaido is not hindered at all by Zoro's attack from what we saw until now. When we'll have a Lucci's moment with him (when his legs failed because of the lasting damage of the G3 from Luffy), then you can say Zoro did lasting damage.

For now, CoC, or whatever he used, is simply the means to block Kaido's regeneration. He can't fully heal scars inflicted by CoC imbued attacks, that's all.

The CoC bursts are because they both clashed attacks.
Zoro didn't clash any attack with Kaido, he cut him cleanly.
Just because Kaido isn’t struggling to stay on his feet after the attack doesn’t mean he didn’t do lasting damage though. It just means he hasn’t taken significant enough damage to be in that state yet.

Then you are blatantly assuming he has lasting damage from that attack without any proof like in the examples I said :kayneshrug:

Imagine kaido isn't excited that zoro can use adcoc but rather annoyed
Whole he's excited when Luffy uses adcoc
Yeah, you are not annoyed if you enjoy fights and wanna fights strong people and you define strong people the ones with Adv CoC in the next minute.

A scar isn’t something that heals instantly though, it takes time therefore inflicting damage that will eventually leave a scar is lasting damage. Kaido has high durability and high endurance, him not being on death’s door after the attack doesn’t mean it isn’t hindering him at all.

I think Ashura itself is a CoC haki unconscious use itself. Luffy for example since the beginning became always power-boost when he is pissed off like when Arlong called Nami a tool he destroyed Arlong's weapon with his fingers , or against Lucci he was basically Koed but he stand up and finished with an enraged gatling. i would call that unconscious use of king's haki or armament haki.

No normal coc is always a coc burst like even unconsciously like luffy in Impel Down to wolves or on amazon lily where even the spectators saw and felt it.
Even kaido says nothing of coc until he's hit by the attack. Zoro coated his attack in coc unconsciously

Then why can't bm/Shanks scar Kaido
Because they didn't. They can very well scar Kaido and if they manage to land an attack coated with advCoC. They just didn't fight that seriously yet lol. This is like saying why didn't Roger/Whitebeard/Rocks scar Kaido. Pretty sure they can do much more than just scarring Kaido but they just didn't fight him seriously enough to do so.

He was excited well before Luffy used adv CoC. He was excited about this battle when he was pushed to go into hybrid form in chapter 1003.

And he said that this generation is proving to be an annoyance. He wasn't talking about Zoro alone, but rather the rooftop 5 which includes Luffy.

Stop lying @Echizen_Jo_Ndule you're just embarassing yourself now.

What you mean as "lasting" damage is the fact that the skin will have that scar forever and you are merging it with the "lasting damage" stuff like in my examples about Lucci or Zoro.
Two completely different things. The first one is irrelevant for the combat power since it doesn't affect the user display at all, the second is the one that matters.
Zoro for now is in the first case. That's nothing impressive since any Scabbard (or any character comparable in power) could make the same if they had CoC since all of them can wound Kaido. Togen Totsuka of them did more damage to Kaido than Zoro's Ashura by far, but they couldn't make him more ugly forever. That's the only difference.

Normal CoC without hitting = a "mental" attack
Normal CoC by hitting = a "physical" attack, Luffy vs Doffy, etc used this unconsciously.
What's so difficult to get lmao?

Except normal CoC by hitting doesn't boost your damage output in the slightest. It is only affecting the surroundings by a shockwave as a result.

Irrelevant, that's not the point (and probably it does, since this was probably retconed, since we never had any explanation as for why Luffy vs Doffy vs Chinjao released CoC in their physical clashes).
The point is that CoC is what is needed to block Kaido's regeneration.
