God tier representation yet people call movies like these "outdated" and insulting" FFS. I found these so inspiring, enjoyable and entertaining growing up and also empowering for myself, as I'm a "minority". Aladdin was my go to hero I wanted to just be like, same with Hercules, my goats. Oh Tarzan and Mulan too!

Mulan was just truly exceptional too, a truly beautiful, heartfelt, soulful film, the most out of all them arguably, but those others were phenomenal, Brother Bear and Princess And The Frog are kinda underrated at least imo. Lilo and Stitch is a such a feelgood, fun film too, iconic.

Disney was never better than this era, the true Renaissance era. Its sad how far they've fallen and for their 100th anniversary too.

Much better written female characters and protagonists in this era too, Mulan but even Jasmine and Ariel solo modern ones by miles, no competition/neg diff.

That Aladdin live action remake was so fucking cringe and ruined my childhood too, I really regret watching it ergh....The Lion King one was just so soulless and awful and now we're getting that unneeded Mufasa film too, ergh....

I could write essays on why I love each of these films. I might do that in some form soon, its tempting.
