I noticed this while continuing to binge Dressrosa. But like in flashbacks of this arc and other arcs the subordinates with DFs seem almost normal. Like let's take Senor' Pink. In flashback with his fruit newly acquired he wears a suit, looks normal, sane, kinda cool. Then him along with the rest of that gang ...turns into well freaks. This has been other groups that had flashbacks as well.

I know Zoan's have been said to have a will of their own and can get lost in that will. But what about the non-Zoans? If the fruits are desired wishes and outcomes. Could those desires have a corrupting influence over the user overtime?

To be fair here, if my wife practically died in a permanent coma, I would have been depressed and gone fat too. So I don't think DFs has anything to do with user's body changing but it's rather a mental or psychological thing.

Another example would be Big Mom, obviously she didn't get fat due to her DF but her candies/sweets eating disorder.

He didn't just go fat though, he turned into a man-baby. Many of the others in the group also went from seemingly normal to weird. Many of Big Mom's children that looked normal as children turned weird. Like I still don't know what's up with Brulees skin going gray. There's various DF users that change their style from their flashbacks, and that style is always ...strange.

He wore this toddler outfit because it made his wife smile and continued to do so after her death. Getting fat and out of shape has nothing to do with the DF either.
