I'm leaning towards, yes...probably.
The only question is, are ALL Davy Clan members ALSO D-Clan members? Or is that something unique to Blackbeard's specific family line? If you're a Davy Clan member, are you automatically also a D-Clan member? Because we already know that not all D-Clan members are Davy Clan members. So, is the Davy Clan a subset of D-Clan members, or is the Davy Clan something else that isn't necessarily linked to the D-Clan?
...I'm not sure if that made any sense. But, oh well.
The point is, Shanks COULD be both a Davy and a D-Clan member. Or he could just be one or the other. It all depends on how that works, and how many of these special families were actually on God Valley. Given that it's a relatively small isolated island, I would expect their to be a lot of inbreeding among the small set of families who actually live there. So, I would think everyone's got some mix of the Davy and D-Clan bloodlines in their lineage from somewhere. Especially if the Davy Clan has ONLY been living on this one island for the last 800 years. I'll admit, I might be thinking too "realistically" for this manga, though. Oda might not be thinking about stuff like that.
I'll admit, it's a little weird that no one's mentioned that Shanks is a D-Clan member, yet. That feels like something that would have come up by now. And it's weird that none of the narrator's text boxes or anything has mentioned the D.
But, I think it does make sense. Shanks being this combination of different family bloodlines that haven't mixed together before. That does sound like something that could result in a "Child of Destiny".
But, it could still be something different. Shanks isn't necessarily a D. Oda could throw us another curveball.
But, I'm will to say Shanks being a D-Clan member is the most likely scenario. It just makes sense, at this point.
That doesn't make sense
He literally reports Davy clan to the gorosei as something that imu would be happy with
Why would he then just kill one
Imu is happy that they found the Davy Clan...so that they could finally get killed off.
Imu doesn't care HOW they die. Imu just wants to make sure all of them are off the board for good. The game is just a excuse. Imu probably doesn't really care about the God's Knights little "Clan Wars". Imu just wants to make sure this threat is eliminated. If it comes in the form of a game, fine, as long as the job gets done.
And technically all the "rabbits" are worth some points. Garling's just cocky and doesn't care about his kill not "counting" for the game. He's pretty sure he can still kill plenty enough other "rabbits" to win. If anything, to Garling, it's just another "handicap" that would make the game more fun and challenging for him. Garling's kind of messed up.
