Character Discussion Do you find the Straw Hats to be endearing characters?

Are the Straw Hat Pirates characters you find really likeable and sympathetic characters for whom you have a real attachement?

Or do you find them to be annoying/and or unsympathetic?

Which ones do you like or dislike the most as characters?

How can someone be sympathetic when they have been written out of the story? Everyone except Luffy has no narrative importance, they could cease to exist and the story would continue

Yes, they're mostly likable especially pre-TS. They can be a bit one-note at times though but overall fine.

Nami and Sanji's gags of beating people up and nosebleeding respectively are very annoying to me. Usopp and some of the others also feel stale.

I mostly like Brook, Franky, pre TS Robin, Chopper. Rather neutral (leaning towards like) on Sanji, Zoro, post TS Robin and Usopp. Nami is alright but can be quite annoying.

I'm indifferent to Jimbo. He should've stayed separate IMO.

They're alright. I don't like post TS Usopp and Chopper though. And to a minor degree post TS Robin.

I love all of them

Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro are my 3 favorite they pretty much always have been. Sanji’s gag became impossible to ignore and Zoro’s somewhat stale compared to pre TS but my love for all 3 hasn’t changed

Usopp and Nami occupy the 4th and 5th spots. Nothing beats Usopp’s brave moments despite how infrequent they are post TS. Nami is consistently pretty good imo

Franky, Robin, Brook, and Chopper are all in that weird spot for me where I truly like/love all of them a lot but my ranking changes by arc. Like in WCI Brook was my favorite amongst these 4, then in Wano and beyond I feel like Franky is always ready regardless of who he’s going up against

Jinbei is my least favorite (still rock with him though) just cause he feels so… different? He still doesn’t fully feel like a Strawhat to me tbh

I wouldn’t say I dislike any of them at all. There are moments where they irritate me but for the most part I can’t help but love em

In pre skip yes. In post skip not much. Post ts Luffy and zoro are bearable. Sanji is okayish. Usopp is trash. Others I feel indifferent.

To be honest, not that much. I’m much more invested in One Piece Lore and Side Characters than Straw Hats themselves. Not a single Straw Hat is in my Top 5 Favorite characters

I like some of them, Zoro, Sanji, Jinbei, Robin and Luffy when serious. Other than that, I wouldn’t bat an eye if they were written out of the story.

All of them except maybe Jinbei,used to be GREAT characters. But nowadays,they are all too stereotyped,and they never evolve

Usopp, Nami, Brook, Franky, and Chopper are unbearable and unfunny after the time skip. Franky and Brook were never captivating. Usopp has been literally useless for almost 500 chapters. Nami's current state only serves as a feminist agenda and bad jokes about hitting men. Sanji had good development. Luffy, Zoro, and Robin remain the same. One exception for Luffy: he hasn't matured at all, hasn't become any smarter, and his screen time is much greater than before.
