[Luffy is the mc]

I liked his backstory. Unfortunately we didn't have much time to appreciate him pre TS but Oda gave him some good panel time post TS in almost every arc.

It seems like he is one of Oda's fav.

He had some good one liners and he always looks good even when he faces top tier.

Jimbei was more impressive than Nami on WCI.
Do you forget Jimbei saved Luffy + Nami, then quit BM's crew in front of everyone at the tea party, saved Luffy from Katakuri, then saved the Straw Hats again with the Green room, then saved the Straw Hats again by knocking off Big Mom from the ship (after clashing with her once). Then later they only escape BM pirates because Jimbei with his friends changed the waves movement so that they get away from the fleet faster.
You forgot all that?
Jimbei only started lacking in Wano, and he was non existent in Egghead.
