Parralells are pretty weak. People don't see the true parallels that make One Piece interesting.
Like from the beginning Luffy has always had street urchin vibes. Morally ambiguous brawler. Since the timeskip he looks like a little boy now but Oda tries to reinforce it by saying Luffy isn't a hero. But if you follow the story it's about an unattached criminal that challenges the hierarchies of the world.
It's a story about a boy who challenges authority and eventually becomes an authority himself, showing the futility of trying to destroy order. Same with Roger who wanted to turn the world on it's head but in the end just created a highly organized hierarchically Era. Though I don't even know if Oda understands that.

2. CG's only notable member is Mihawk. Its a group that wont be fought. Buggy is nonsense and Croc is a former villain. Exactly how do you expect Mihawk to fight Zoro specifically with CG if Luffy has no one to fight lol

@Peroroncino Yes, because I still think both are potentially endgame and CG literally is nothing but Mihawk lol. Ill ask the question again: exactly who would Luffy fight if Mihawk is affiliated with CG? The 2 former villains hes already destroyed?
