Gear 3 has more than 3 different attack names, you think Gear 3 is a mode like G4 or Raid Suit?

Diable Jambe has more than 3 different attack names, you think Diable Jambe is a mode?

Eustass Kid names his attacks with ''Punk'' usually, you think ''Punk'' is a mode?

Actually diablo jambe is a mod. Sanji always uses it for a long period of time, meaning he can maintain it for as long as he wants(well not forever but you know what i mean).
About kidd, if you are talking about the robot like thing(dont remember its name), thats definitely a mode. Its just like Douglas bullet's titanic robot.

Ashura however is not a mode. Zoro HAS NEVER USED IT AS SUCH. If it was a mode, It would be extremely foolish not to use against kuma or pacifistas or kaido and big mom. Defending an attack with it means nothing. Luffy can use gear 3 as a shield too. Does that mean that gear 3rd is a mode too?

1 sword style, 2 sword style, 3 sword style..If Zoro can fight in all these swords style for an extended period of time then why shouldn't he be able to do the same in 9 sword style? He used Asura 3 different times and he used 3 different attacks. How is Asura not a mode if it has 3 different attacks in it?

Because 9 swords dont actually exist. They are just a manifestation of his spirit. So you are actually saying that zoro can create things with his spirit? Wtf is that? Can he create a shield too? I mean thats ridiculous.
He just uses different names. Its pretty much the same attack every single time.

The issue originates from the first time he would use Asura. It does not strike likely he was charging Silver Mist from the very start and even fended Rankyaku in the meantime.

Not to mention that Asura can potentially waste a fair amount of energies so that could be a conservative way.
